			Greinin er svar við gagnrýni R.I. Page á kenningu Dumézil um að 28. vísa ''Egils sögu'' fjalli um þrenninguna Óðin-Frey-Þór. Í fyrsta lagi beinir Dumézil sjónum sínum enn frekar að gjörðum Egils eftir að Eiríkur blóðöxi hefur neitað honum að endurheimta land fjölskyldu sinnar. Dumézil lítur á neitun Eiríks sem upphaf af hefndum Egils innan sögunnar sem ágerast í vísu 28-29 og ná hápunkti í frásögninni af níðstönginni. Í því samhengi eru færð rök fyrir tengingunni milli „landássins“ og Þórs. Í annan stað afneitar Dumézil umdeildri túlkun Bos Almqvist á „landásnum“ sem leiðtoga landvættanna. Í lok greinarinnar er að finna tilvitnanir í gagnrýni R.I. Page og svör Dumézil við henni.

	This article is a response to R.I. Page’s challenge on Dumézil’s proof that Egils 28th stanza is an illustration of the triad of Odinn-Freyr-Thor. First, the article develops Dumézil’s reading of Egill’s actions after king Eirik’s refusal to give him back the family land for which he had asked. Dumézil sees the following episode as a progression in Egill’s vengeance: it starts at the thing, is developed in stanzas 28-29, and finished with the níðstöng. In this context, the translation of “Landáss” as Thor is explained. Second, Dumézil refuses Bo Almqvist’s diverging interpretation of Landáss as a landvættir’s leader. The last part of the article is a quotation of Page’s critique to this point and Dumézil’s answer.		This article is a response to R.I.
