Féll hann þegar og var dauður. Hann hafði spjót í annarri hendi en annarri sverð en engan skjöld. Hann lagði hinni hægri hendi til Sigurðar Lambasonar. Kom lagið í brjóstið og gekk spjótið út um herðarnar. Féll hann þá og var þegar dauður. Kári kom að í því og rak undan Leiðólfi fótinn í miðju lærinu.
