Annotation
About topography in Northern Norway and whether Kveld-Ulf resided at Kvellestad (‘evening place’) in Førdefjord which would be consistent with the saga though there is no direct reference to the place. The farm is located roughly where Sigurður Nordal had believed it to be. Kvellestad, thus named most likely because of how beautiful the place is in the evenings, has long been a major homestead with a natural harbour nearby.
Lýsing
Þorgrímur fjallar um staðfræði í Norður-Noregi og varpað fram þeirri spurningu hvort Kveld-Úlfur hafi átt heima á Kvellestad í Førdefjörð en það gæti alveg staðist samkvæmt sögunni, þó að hún segi sjálf ekki í beinum orðum. Bærinn sé á svipuðum slóðum og Sigurður Nordal hafi talið að hann ætti að liggja. Kvellestad, sem heitir svo að öllum líkindum vegna þess hve fallegt er þar á kvöldin, hafi fram eftir öldum verið stórbýli með náttúrulegri höfn í næsta nágrenni.
