Annotation

Björn M. Olsen defends his argument from an earlier article, Landnáma og Egils saga, in which he claims that Snorri Sturluson is the author of Egil‘s saga. Here Olsen mainly responds to the criticism from Prof. Finnur Jónsson, and clarifies his arguments, mostly concerning the similarities between Egil‘s saga and Heimskringla but also by referring to Snorri’s genealogy and places that are mentioned in the saga.

Lýsing

Í þessari grein svarar Björn gagnrýni sem hann hefur fengið á aðra grein sem hann hefur skrifað, Landnáma og Egils saga, þar sem hann heldur því fram að Snorri sé höfundur Eglu. Hér svarar Björn einkum gagnrýni Finns Jónssonar prófessors, skýrir rök sín úr áðurnefndri grein, einkum varðandi líkindi milli Egils sögu með Heimskringlu en líka varðandi ætt Snorra og staðarlýsingar í sögunni.
