Annotation
The author compares various interpretations and translations of individual verses by Skallagrímr and Egill, focusing on the etymology and semantics of the verses' vocabulary. He draws principally upon the studies of Finnur Jónsson ("Kritiske Studier over en del af de ældste norske og islandske Skjaldekvad", 1884) and Hjalmar Falk ("Bemerkungen zu den Lausavísur der Egils saga", 1888), often expressing his preference for one or the other's translations.
Lýsing
Höfundurinn ber saman ýmsar þýskar þýðingar á lausavísum Egils. Hann fer yfir þær í smáatriðum og rökstyður oftar en ekki hvaða þýðingu honum þykir ákjósanlegust.
